从Supanniga开业大半年以来很多客人到店里都很兴奋的表示在疫情前每到曼谷都会去Supanniga吃一顿;而现在出不了国还可以在北京吃到的Supanniga的菜。。。很幸福!
Over the past six months since our opening, many guests have expressed their excitement about being able to have a taste of Supanniga especially with travelling being quite challenging nowadays. What a blessing!
Supanniga是什么意思呢?正如我们的logo,Supanniga就是黄丝棉树上长的漂亮花儿。黄丝棉树源自于拉丁美洲热带稀树草原区,现今在东南亚地区尤其泰国、缅甸、马来西亚都比较常见。而在泰奶奶桑禧的院子里以及进入她孔敬府的家里沿路两侧都种了她和女儿最爱的、长得茂盛黄丝棉花的树。所以为了纪念奶奶一生对家庭和美食烹饪的热爱,创始团队决定以Supanniga Eating Room by Khun Yai命名为餐厅名字 ("Khun Yai "在泰语中是祖母的意思)。而鲜艳黄色也成为了我们的主题本色。
Our name, Supanniga, has intrigued many from near and far. As the logo suggests, Supanniga is a yellow cotton tree, a flowering plant which originated from the tropical savanna of South America. It is now common in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia. So why Supanniga? It was the favorite flower of our Thai grandmother, Khun Yai Somsri. This was evident as they blossomed in her backyard and along the road leading to her home in Khon Kaen. To commemorate her life that was dedicated to her family and her love of cooking, the founding team decided to name the restaurant after her favorite flower. Thus, Supanniga Eating Room by Khun Yai was born in 2012 with a bold yellow as its theme color. (Khun Yai means grandmother in Thai)

Supanniga's delicious dishes originated from this loving Thai grandmother, Khun Yai Somsri Chantra (1930-2011). Born in Trad, a seaside province at eastern Thailand, she moved to Khon Kaen province in Isan, which was renowned for superb handmade silk. The reason for the move? Out of her love for her grandchildren. Khun Yai always cooked sumptuous meal not only for her entire family, but also the friends of her grandchildren. She was not just her family's grandmother - she soon became everybody's beloved grandmother. Supanniga Eating Room was thus founded in remembrance of Khun Yai's mouth-watering comfort food and in their bid to establish a family heritage to remember her traditional recipes.

Supanniga does not boast of royal cuisine, social media-friendly plating, nor elaborate decor. Instead, we want to invite you to our grandmother's home for authentic regional Thai cuisine using premium ingredients from Trad, including fish sauce, kapi (dried shrimp paste) and salted fish.

Supanniga Eating Room在泰国一共有三家分店:通罗高级住宅区(Thonglor)、沙吞中央商务区(Sathorn)和Tha Tien旧城区(在朝普拉亚河边俯瞰泰国标志性的黎明寺Wat Arun)。北京是Supanniga Eating Room的第四家分店,也是泰国以外,海外首家分店。
Supanniga Eating Room has three locations: Thonglor (upscale residential), Sathorn (Central Business District) and ThaTien (by the Chaopraya river overlooking the iconic Wat Arun). Beijing will be the fourth branch of Supanniga and the first outside Thailand.
